Key4biz and ReD OPEN, a spin-off from the University of Milano-Bicocca, have initiated the formation of an international community and a permanent working group. The goal is to develop a Digital Independence Strategy that will be submitted to the government, parliament, and relevant stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The next appointment of the Community, after its launch last November in Milan, is the organization of the Conference, on May 27 in Rome from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.<\/strong> at the Wedekind Palace, entitled \u201cDigital Independence – A Pact for the Economic and Technological Future of Europe and Europeans.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Digital Independence is an emerging strategic priority for governments, businesses and citizens, with the goal of managing innovation and digital transformation by building an ecosystem capable of protecting critical services, infrastructure and data in an autonomous and resilient manner. The theme is not just limited to Sovereignty over data and infrastructure, but aims to build in responsible contexts, knowledgeable and secure environments capable of safeguarding economic competitiveness, security and people’s fundamental rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For Companies, Digital Independence means securing freedom to innovate and position their strategic resources in the market by reducing risks from external technological dependencies, autonomously managing technologies, protecting critical data, and increasing the value of their organization through the development of internal competencies and the consequent enhancement of people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Digital Independence means not being dependent on anyone, no lock-in, but being free, including politically, to choose the best, safest technologies based on the needs, requirements and values of European countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
