{"id":11751,"date":"2025-02-17T09:01:57","date_gmt":"2025-02-17T09:01:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.romeinternational.it\/en\/?p=11751"},"modified":"2025-02-18T10:01:14","modified_gmt":"2025-02-18T10:01:14","slug":"i-light-up-less","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/romeinternational.it\/en\/i-light-up-less\/","title":{"rendered":"I light up less"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>To promote the culture of reuse, Sapienza University has promoted a series of events organized under the patronage of Rus (Network of universities for sustainable development) ranging<strong> from 16 to 21 February<\/strong>, within the week that promotes energy sustainability with &#8220;<strong>I light up less&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We start with the Wear your story initiative.\u00a0Those who wish to participate must wear an item of clothing with a family and emotional story to tell, take a photo and share it on social media using the hashtags #<strong>milluminodimeno<\/strong> #<strong>sapienzaroma<\/strong> #<strong>sapienzasostenibile<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On <strong>February 18th<\/strong>\u00a0at the Porticato del CIAO, <strong>from 10.00 to 18.00<\/strong>, the Swap it!\u00a0The Fashion Studies students&#8217; swap party, an event dedicated to the exchange of clothes, a unique opportunity to reflect on the importance of recycling and reuse. It will be possible to participate by bringing up to three clean and in good condition items to exchange (jewellery, underwear and shoes are not allowed). Sensors will also be available with which the different types of fabrics can be recognised. The event was organized in collaboration with the Department of History, Anthropology, Religions, Entertainment Art and the Department of Chemical Engineering, Materials and Environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>19 February<\/strong>\u00a0in the multimedia room of the Rectorate, from 10.00 to 11.00 the meeting\u00a0Sustainable Fashion: from Fast Fashion to Circular Economy will take place. Seminar open to all which analyzes the life cycle of textile products, highlighting the impact of fast fashion and the strategies for a more circular future.
