The engraving workshop will be held on two dates on <strong>April 12th with a repeat on the 19th <\/strong>of the same month.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.romeinternational.it\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/images.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7119\" width=\"319\" height=\"349\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Workshop topics:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong>&nbsp;The technique: work in progress, i.e. the demonstration of the artist&#8217;s technique to illustrate the different types of signs and the possibilities of chiaroscuro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong>&nbsp;Tools: different shapes of tools will be introduced to obtain different shades and effects on end grain wood. The importance of the way to sharpen the burins will also be addressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"3\">\n<li>Wood: compact, hard but elastic (e.g. boxwood, lemon, cherry, maple), cut horizontally avoiding knots, dried naturally, cubed and assembled.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4<\/strong>.&nbsp;Paper: what type of paper is suitable for end grain woodblock printing?
