{"id":12669,"date":"2025-06-25T13:26:11","date_gmt":"2025-06-25T13:26:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/romeinternational.it\/en\/?post_type=mec-events&#038;p=12669"},"modified":"2025-06-25T13:26:12","modified_gmt":"2025-06-25T13:26:12","slug":"sound-imprints-2-0","status":"publish","type":"mec-events","link":"https:\/\/romeinternational.it\/en\/events\/sound-imprints-2-0\/","title":{"rendered":"Sound Imprints 2.0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>At <strong>Villa Torlonia, next Saturday, 28 June<\/strong>, <strong>Technotown &#8211; the creative science hub of Roma Capitale<\/strong> &#8211; invites children, young people and adults to participate in the Impronte Sonore 2.0 event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From 10.00 a.m. until the afternoon, sound walks in the greenery of Villa Torlonia, workshops on sound ecology and an introduction to field recording are scheduled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Closing the day, from 5.00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m., will be the round table \u2018Harmonies from planet earth: a journey through noises signals and presences\u2019 where artists, scientists, educators and researchers, active in various fields linked to sound art, acoustic research and conscious listening practices, will discuss the concept of sound ecology as a tool for reading and transforming the contemporary world. Experiences will be presented that speak a common language: that of sound as a sensitive medium, combining technology and nature, memory and future, inclusion and experimentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The round table, aimed at a transversal audience, intends to stimulate reflections, not only theoretical but also experiential, on the importance of re-educating the gaze &#8211; and above all the ear &#8211; on the acoustic landscape that surrounds us, between environmental emergencies, technological possibilities and new collective imaginaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>P<strong>ROGRAM<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>10.00-11.00 am: Sound walk experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Sound walks in the Villa. Participants, welcomed in the theatre room of the structure, will be given a brief explanation of what the soundscape is and what the ultimate aims of sound walks are (education in active listening, awareness of the naturalistic component of urban environments). We will then leave the villa with microphones and headphones and return to the venue for conclusions and final reflections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>11 am &#8211; 1 pm: Introductory workshop on field recording with tutor Gianluca Ferranti and Raffaele Mariconte (Italian Acoustics Association).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3.00 &#8211; 4.30 pm: Workshop on sound ecology with tutors Francesca Romano and Gianluca Ferranti.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5 p.m. &#8211; 6.30 p.m.: Round Table &#8220;Harmonies from planet earth: a journey through noises signals and presences in collaboration with the Italian Acoustics Association<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At Villa Torlonia, next Saturday, 28 June, Technotown &#8211; the creative science hub of Roma Capitale &#8211; invites children, young people and adults to participate in the Impronte Sonore 2.0 event.
