Running from June 29 to Aug. 7<\/strong> is the Caracalla Festival 2025<\/strong> proposal, entitled \u201cBetween Sacred and Human,\u201d<\/strong> which includes opera, sacred music, musicals, dance, concerts and meetings. Four new productions: H\u00e4ndel’s La Resurrezione, Verdi’s La traviata, Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Bernstein’s West Side Story, all entrusted to names from the \u201cnuovelle vague\u201d of international opera direction such as Ilaria Lanzino, Sl\u00e1va Daubnerov\u00e1, Vasily Barkhatov and Damiano Michieletto himself. Then, for West Side Story, Rome Opera Music Director Michele Mariotti takes the podium. Dance sees the Teatro’s Corps de Ballet, directed by Eleonora Abbagnato, engaged in an evening of two great contemporary classics: Ravel’s Bolero signed by Maurice B\u00e9jart and Stravinsky’s Le Sacre du printemps with the celebrated choreography by Pina Bausch, for the first time performed by an Italian ballet company. These are joined by the unfailing Roberto Bolle and Friends evening. Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana closes the bill, with Diego Matheuz on the podium and Maestro Ciro Visco conducting the Capitoline foundation’s Chorus. Varied again this year are the pop music offerings that precede the playbill curated by Damiano Michieletto: concerts begin as early as Tuesday, June 3. Among the first confirmations are names such as Antonello Venditti, Giorgia, Alessandra Amoroso, Fiorella Mannoia and Giovanni Allevi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
