{"id":12572,"date":"2025-06-05T09:01:38","date_gmt":"2025-06-05T09:01:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/romeinternational.it\/en\/?post_type=mec-events&#038;p=12572"},"modified":"2025-06-05T09:01:39","modified_gmt":"2025-06-05T09:01:39","slug":"a-polish-queen-in-the-capitol-maria-casimira-and-the-sobieski-royal-family-in-rome","status":"publish","type":"mec-events","link":"https:\/\/romeinternational.it\/en\/events\/a-polish-queen-in-the-capitol-maria-casimira-and-the-sobieski-royal-family-in-rome\/","title":{"rendered":"A Polish Queen in the Capitol: Maria Casimira and the Sobieski royal family in Rome"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>From 11 June to 21 September 2025<\/strong>, at Palazzo Caffarelli, the story of the stay of <em>Queen Maria Casimira Sobieska<\/em> and her court in Rome and, above all, the profound influence exerted on Roman cultural life by the Queen, a member of the Academy of Arcadia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This exhibition, which constitutes the first appointment with \u2018C<em>ampidoglio crocevia di culture<\/em>\u2019 &#8211; a new series of exhibitions dedicated to international personalities and events that saw the Campidoglio as a protagonist &#8211; intends to valorise the numerous Roman testimonies of the Sobieski royal family, both monumental and documentary, conserved in the collections of the Capitoline Superintendency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Present will be<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ryszard Schnepf<\/strong> <em>Ambassador of Poland<\/em><br><strong>Claudio Parisi Presicce<\/strong> <em>Capitoline Superintendent of Cultural Heritage<\/em><br><strong>Francesca Ceci and Jerzy Mizio\u0142ek<\/strong> <em>Curators of the exhibition<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To participate in the press conference, you must RSVP by <strong>15.00 on Monday 9 June 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TV crews and photographers will be allowed access to the exhibition for filming and imaging <strong>from 9.30 am<\/strong>.
