Images, words, sounds and videos from the Beat Generation to the French May, on show in Rome at Studio Stefania Miscetti<\/strong> (via delle Mantellate 14) from Tuesday 19 November <\/strong>(opening h18\/h21) to Tuesday 31 December<\/strong> (h16\/h21).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MY GENERATIONS presents a wide and varied selection of testimonies produced between 1944 and 1976 from the eclectic collection of director, producer, writer and screenwriter Giancarlo Soldi<\/strong>. Through an itinerary of images, words, sounds and videos, the exhibition offers a never-before-seen cross-section of the counterculture of the 1960s and 1970s, between the United States of America, the United Kingdom and France, with a special focus on the beat generation movement, psychedelia, underground phenomena and the French May. Among the \u2018finds\u2019 featured are: the menabou of a book rejected by Italian publishers, with forty negatives of the beat generation, some previously unpublished; beat generation magazines such as Beat Scene and City Light Journal; American underground magazines such as Berkeley Tribe, The Other, Helix; British psychedelic magazines such as Oz and It, with their posters; photos, flyers and posters from San Francisco’s Fillmore East; posters, iconic photos, flyers and magazines from May \u201868 in Paris; posters, photos and specials from Time, Rolling Stone, Life, Observer, Telegraph, from Woodstock to Katmandu; underground comics from San Francisco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
