On Saturday 8 June the curtain opens on the 22nd edition of “Along the Tiber… Rome“, a symbolic event of Roman summers, which takes place from Ponte Sublicio to Ponte Sisto and which is a much loved and frequented lounge by Romans, summer after summer.
With the patronage of Roma Capitale and the Lazio Region, the opportunity to walk along the Tiber returns, including photographic and cinematographic exhibitions, exhibitions, literary and musical quotes, book presentations, theater and concerts. A now historic event that overlooks the Tiber with the Tiber Island in the background and is enriched with the “Salotto Tevere”, located under Ponte Cestio, with its calendar that will accompany citizens and tourists throughout the summer season.
Every day at Salotto Tevere there will be two cultural moments: from 7.30 pm to 9.45 pm book presentations, awards ceremonies and events in which institutions, local cultural associations, publishers and authors will participate and from 9.45 pm to midnight (approximately) musical concerts, performances theatrical and musical and many others.
On Saturday 8 June the event will open with the Amici di Alberto Sordi Award and on Tuesday 11 June a theatrical show curated by Silvia Merola will be staged. Then it will be the turn of ‘Straniero tra le stelle’, the book by Danilo Ciotti, on stage on Wednesday 12th, the manager in the world of pop music. While the real opening gala will take place on Friday 14 June, preceded on the 13th by a meeting that will offer the opportunity to immerse oneself in historical tales that border on myths and are witnessed by archaeology.
Among the many events scheduled only in the first two weeks, Sunday 16th Gladys in concert, Wednesday 19th Vittorio Lombardi presents “Salotto Giallorosso” with the participation of Gabriele Marconi, Sunday 23rd Tiziana Raciti, as part of the Caruso prize. The Grand Gala of the Eleonora Lavore Award 2024, presented by Angelo Martini will be the event on Saturday 22nd. In June there will be the award ceremony for the best gastronomic products Made in Italy and in particular from Rome and Lazio.
As with every edition, the scheduled events will be accompanied by stands of crafts, objects, antiques and curiosities, together with numerous refreshment points, available to visitors.
