May 2024 – European Elections – STUDENTS MEET EU EMBASSIES

On the occasion of the next European elections on 8 June, the Information Office of the European Parliament and the Representation of the European Commission in Italy, in collaboration with the Festival of Diplomacy, are promoting an awareness campaign aimed at students, which aims at participation and vote, necessary to help decide the Europe of the future. The faces of this campaign will be the major representatives of the Embassies, i.e. the Ambassadors and diplomats of most of the countries that make up the EU.

The initiative started on May 3, with the meeting of the Swedish Ambassador to Italy, Jan Björklund, with the students of the Faculty of Global Governance at the University of Tor Vergata (see photo below).

The calendar of meetings continues throughout the month preceding the vote for the renewal of the European Parliament. In addition to the University of Tor Vergata, the universities of UNINT, LUMSA and Sapienza will also be involved, as well as the Higher Institutes of Rome and the Province, including: ISS Carlo Rosselli, ISS Ambrosini, IPSEOA Gioberti, the Lucrezio High School Dear Woolf Ferrari.
