Tango. Historias de Astor
“My family was from Trani…”: this is the incipit, entrusted to the recorded voice of Astor Piazzolla, of the show “Tango. Historias de Astor” with which Miguel Ángel Zotto, living legend of tango, pays homage to the Argentine musician and composer of Italian origins Astor Pantaléon Piazzolla, born in Mar Del Plata in 1921 and died in Buenos Aires in 1992.
After the success of two seasons ago, the show written, choreographed, directed and danced by the Argentine Miguel Ángel Zotto, and dedicated to the life and to the story of Piazzolla, universally considered the father of modern tango. Performed for the first time in Trani in 2021, on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of the musician, Tango. Historias de Astor returns to Rome in a new version that debuted in Bologna in 2023.
