S(O)LOLIBRI

The Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Rome, in collaboration with the Center for Slovenian as a second and Foreign Language of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Ljubljana – together with the departments of Slovenian studies of the Universities of Padua, Rome, Trieste and Udine organizes the event, symbolically entitled “S(O)LOLIBRI” (only Slovenian books), which will take place on the following Mondays: 5 February, 4 March and 18 March 2024 always at 6.00 pm.

It will be possible to participate online in the presentations of some Slovenian literary works, also translated into Italian in the last two years, by clicking HERE

The works that can be followed online are:

SLOVENOLOGY by Noah Charney.

The literary evenings will be moderated by some Italian students of Slovenian and will see as main guests the two Italian translators of the aforementioned volumes: Patrizia Raveggi and Daniel Ballestin.

The initiative for the festival was born from the academic world and also from the strong involvement of students from all six Italian universities where it is possible to study Slovenian.

The events will be moderated by: Laura Renesto (University of Padua), Chiara Santambrogio and Leonardo Ungarini (both University of Rome “Sapienza”).

The publishing houses that published the volumes presented as part of the S(O)LOLIBRI festival also participate in the project: Editoriale Stampa Triestina, publisher of the Slovenian community in Italy, Voland and Beletrina
