RO.ME – Museum Exhibition
From 13 to 15 November 2024, RO.ME – Museum Exhibition returns to the heart of the capital in the suggestive Trastevere district at the WeGil cultural space.
The general theme of the 2024 edition of RO.ME – Museum Exhibition will be: Threads of knowledge.
Museums are complex organizations divided into networks that constitute vehicles for the transmission of knowledge, objects and ideas, and are themselves parts of a fabric that forms the fabric of the society in which we live.
Increasingly, museums are working to expand these networks and move beyond traditional platforms, displaying collections in new and unconventional locations, establishing innovative partnerships and trying to reach a broader audience. At the same time, museums are more inclined to welcome expertise and use external knowledge, and to adopt non-traditional intervention models. This strategy is not perceived as a threat to its authority, but rather is considered as a challenge to be shared in the search for innovative solutions.
In the seventh edition of RO.ME – Museum Exhibition, we intend to delve deeper into the networks that radiate, converge and nourish museums, contributing to the creation of new forms of knowledge, both within the sector and outside
