Report di Enrico Letta “Much more than a Market”
The institutional mission of the Cotec Foundation is the promotion of innovation, also in collaboration with sister organizations in Spain and Portugal. From this perspective, of particular interest is the Report “Much more than a market“, drawn up by Enrico Letta, president of the Jacques Delors Institute, on behalf of the Council and the European Commission, which will be presented on 17 June at 6 pm at the LONGHI ROOM of Unioncamere. The Report highlights how next to four fundamental freedoms on which the Single Market and the EU itself are based. (freedom of movement of goods, people, services and capital), it is necessary to add a fifth freedom, relating to Research, innovation and education. To stimulate innovation it is necessary, in fact, to develop industrial ecosystems tip and equip itself with a strong technological infrastructure. The central pillar of this strategy is the creation of a centralized platform that gives access to public research (facilitating exchange between researchers) and data sets and tools for education paths without borders (university alliances, student mobility up to to the desired European degree). It is also necessary to mobilize private capital towards strategic objectives Europeans and direct state aid in this direction. A vision that coincides perfectly with that of the Cotec Foundation, which for years now has highlighted the close relationship between human capital, innovation, development and investments, public and private, capable of supporting research and innovation.
