We cordially invite you to the presentation of the volume Laconic Icons – Paintings and Studies (Schirmer/Mosel, 2024) which will take place in the form of a conversation between artist and author of the book Max Renkel and writer Durs Grünbein.
Laconic Icons is the first monograph on Max Renkel’s work not related to a specific exhibition. The artist, born in Munich in 1966, lives and works in Rome. The publication includes paintings, graphic sketch sheets and color studies, and documents the artist’s research process. The volume includes essays by Durs Grünbein and Oswald Egger.
