Presentation of the book ‘Fragments of Brussels
Ten short stories explore the fragmented soul of the Belgian capital, a city of microcosms that coexist without really meeting. Through biting irony, the book ‘Fragments of Brussels’ unveils the hypocrisy and detachment of institutions, social classes and elitist circles: from the Embassies to the European Parliament, to decadent nobility and university circles.
Brussels becomes a universal symbol of loneliness and fiction, where the protagonists wander, trapped in lives built on illusions. The atmospheres of the city, portrayed between realism and vision, make these stories alive and deep, going beyond Belgian borders to reveal human frailties and passions.
