Nino Bertoletti (1889-1971)
From April 11 to September 14, 2025, the Gallery of Modern Art presents Nino Bertoletti. 1889-1971, a retrospective exhibition curated by Pier Paolo Pancotto that tackles the complexity of the figure and production of Nino Bertoletti (Umberto Natale Bertoletti, Rome, 1889-1971), a multifaceted artist, capable of ranging with equal intensity from painting to graphics, from architecture to journalism to collecting.
A solid cultural education, numerous trips to visit exhibitions and museums throughout Europe, knowledge of foreign languages, and a large and select private library allowed Nino Bertoletti, from a young age, to simultaneously cultivate diverse interests, mostly oriented in the artistic sphere, interweaving passion and profession.
