Nessun Dorma – Collective exhibition that pays homage to Giacomo Puccini
LA__LINEA artecontemporanea inaugurates, on the occasion of the centenary of the death of Maestro Giacomo Puccini (1924-2024), in the spaces of the cultural association, a collective exhibition entitled Nessun dorma. The artists present in the exhibition were invited to reflect and pay homage to the life and music of the composer, through various techniques (drawing, collage, xylography, drypoint, mixed techniques on paper or cardboard) and different styles: those who were inspired by his music , who took inspiration from photographs that portrayed him over time, who turned in particular to the history of his great works and who transposed his music into figurative, abstract or conceptual compositions.
The reference to Puccini’s greatest and best-known operas therefore arose spontaneously: Tosca, Madama Butterfly and Turandot to name a few. So let no one sleep to celebrate the composer’s music and to reflect on this historical period of great conflicts, fears and cultural stagnation. Artists on display: Luisa Baciarlini, Lucia Caprioglio, Virginia Carbonelli, Franco Cenci, Antonella Cuzzocrea, Laura De Carli, Albina Dealessi, Anna Di Fusco, Elisabetta Diamanti, Susanna Doccioli, Valeria Gasparrini, Maurizio Graceva, Caroline Heider, Concetta Ianuzziello, Marilena La Mantia, Giovanni Mangiacapra, Michele Marinaccio, Vittorio Pavoncello, Giorgia Pilozzi, Maurizio Prenna, Silvana Sabbione, Enza Scarano, Grazia Sernia, Silvia Stucky, Raha Tavallali, Gianluca Tedaldi, Luisa Violo, Juanni Wang, Oriano Zampieri.
