Mexico to vote
The June 2 elections in Mexico will be the most relevant political event in Latin America in 2024. The vote could change the foundations of the Mexican political system, with the probable confirmation for a new six-year term of the ruling Morena party and the almost certain election of the first woman to the presidency.
The result of the elections, those with the largest electoral body ever, will also have significant effects on foreign policy, starting from the relationship with the United States – today marked by migration peaks and drug trafficking, as well as by a resumption of nearshoring – but also those with the EU and Latin America.
CeSPI promotes a webinar on the stakes of the elections, the challenges that the new government will have to face and the scenarios for Mexico’s international relations. To register and follow the webinar click HERE
