Let’s Read Chekhov!
Thursday 27 February at 6.30 pm the Casa Russa in Rome will host the Literary and Musical Salon “Let’s Read Chekhov!”, dedicated to the 165th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian playwright. In addition to the musical program, guests will listen to readings of excerpts from Chekhov’s humorous stories and plays. Experts will speak: the president of the cultural association “Il Mondo di Damarete” Maria Federico will talk about “Čechoviana Sicilianita”, while the translator and interpreter Irina Boulychkina will talk about Chekhov, Tchaikovsky and Rimskij-Korsakov. The actors Maria Teresa Pintus, Pavel Zelinskij, the director Marco Belocchi, the soprano Maria Smirnova, the composer and pianist Giovanni Paolo Palamara will participate in the evening.
