Les Etoiles at Auditorium Parco della Musica
A not-to-be-missed appointment for dance and ballet lovers in the prestigious Sala Santa Cecilia of the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone in Rome, Les Étoiles returns, an evening in the company of the most acclaimed international ballet stars, from theatres and companies around the world, under the artistic direction of Daniele Cipriani. Since 2015, Les Étoiles has represented a unique opportunity to witness the ‘virtuosities in flight and on pointe’ of the world’s hottest names, in a heterogeneous programme composed of excerpts from the most famous ballets of the classical and contemporary repertoire and new creations by choreographers on the crest of a wave. Among the first étoiles to be announced are Marianela Nuñez, William Bracewell, Cesar Corrales, Francesca Hayward (The Royal Ballet, London), Aran Bell and Chloe Misseldine (American Ballet Theatre), Mira Nadon, Davide Riccardo (New York City Ballet), Olga Smirnova (Het Nationale Ballet – present on 4 and 5 at 9 p.m.), Madison Young (Bayerisches Staatsballett), Sergio Bernal (Sergio Bernal Dance Company), to which others will be added. The leitmotif of Les Étoiles can only be internationality due to the diverse origins of the artists, composers and choreographers of the present and the past. This emphasises a message of unity in which dance presents itself as the model of an ideal society and an ideal world, hoping, through its universal language, for harmony among the peoples of our planet.
