GIUSEPPE PRIMOLI AND THE CHARM OF THE ORIENT
From 15 March to 8 September 2024, the Napoleonic Museum hosts an exhibition dedicated to Count Primoli and his interest in the art of Japan and, in general, for the Asian continent. On display are 14 kakemonos painted with traditional Japanese scenes, some with compositions and autograph dedications by the most famous French and Italian writers, poets and artists of the time, and other objects from the Primoli collection including the precious silk fan painted by Giuseppe De Nittis for Princess Matilde Bonaparte.
