Genius Loci TTOZOI

Genius Loci, the experimental artistic project of the Campania duo TTOZOI formed by Stefano Forgione and Pino Rossi, returns to Rome with an anthological exhibition hosted from 6 June to 15 September 2024 at the Carlo Bilotti Aranciera Museum of Villa Borghese. The exhibition, curated by Gianluca Marziani, is promoted by Roma Capitale, Capitoline Superintendence of Cultural Heritage and organized by WEM Gallery. Museum services of Zètema Progetto Cultura.

Genius Loci is also the title of the journey that connected the artistic duo TTOZOI to Italian archaeological culture. The Genius Loci project, sponsored by the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and curated by Gianluca Marziani, was presented in Rome in 2017, at Palazzo Massimo, and then crossed Italy. Their production includes paintings of the most varied sizes, “painted”, among others, in the Campanian Amphitheater of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, in the Italian-American Museum of San Francisco and in the Casa Romana of Spoleto.

Each place is a site in itself, where time, history and the dust of time, which have passed through it, imprint something magical and different every time on our works. But the greatest emotion was retracing the history of Rome and being able to “paint” inside its most significant monument – They remember, with a touch of pride, the TTOZOANS.
