G7/G20 and Development Cooperation – Political Priorities and the Way Forward
The event, organised in partnership with Focus2030 and the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation, and in collaboration with Think7 and Civil7, aims to examine the G7 and G20 commitments to promote development cooperation, including under the Italian G7 Presidency, assess their achievements and shortcomings, and discuss the policy priorities they should pursue. The event will focus on how to build stronger interactions and synergies between the G7 and G20 in the field of development cooperation to support the global sustainability agenda.
The event will start with a conversation with Francesco Rampa (G7 Sherpa Office and ECDPM), followed by a panel. Other speakers will include H.E. Elissa Golberg, Ambassador of Canada to Italy and H.E. Nosipho Nausca-Jean Jezile, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to Italy.
