From Thursday 4 April until Monday 27 May 2024, the Wessel Huisman exhibition entitled "Wessel Huisman and generous space" is open to the public at the Cloister of Santa Maria Nova in the Colosseum Archaeological Park.
The exhibition presents a series of paintings by the internationally known Dutch artist, Wessel Huisman, inspired by famous places born from a succession of photographic snapshots taken during some travels.
The artist Huisman said: "Taking the symbolic places of Rome as a starting point, I realized that they constitute a source of inspiration to bring out the metaphysical truth together with the earthly reality. Thus giving shape to what defines one' Generous Space".
