Exhibition – CoLui

An artist with a combative spirit, CoLui (born Luigi Colombo) with his research has crossed the years of the transformation of Italian society, with particular reference to 1968 and all the profound changes that followed. In those experiences, as an artist and entrepreneur, CoLui concentrated the essence of his activity, summed up in that “-I” which is the fixed ending of the cycles of his works. From “Io come me”, which is also the title of one of his books, to Cerch’Io (which deals with the theme of imperfection represented with a series of deliberately irregular circles) to 30 Febbra-Io (on the theme of personal time) up to research on spirituality connected to man with the G-I cycle like us.

The solo show in the spaces of the prestigious Crocetti Museum has the sense of the time spent in the continuous search for a way to answer questions about existence, time and the individual, however included in the themes of a society that CoHe, with authentic and human solidarity , would like to be supportive and compact. On display, among others, are the singular works from the “Artdesign” and “Necklaces, shirts and jackets” cycles. A complete summary of an activity that must be seen and experienced with the same investigative lens used by CoLui for the construction of his artistic operations, which are different and will be exhibited in a sort of journey that retraces the different productive periods of an artist in continuous, full and permanent creative activity.
