EU and NATO integration in wartime Ukraine’s progress, challenges and security priorities

In this briefing, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna will outline Ukraine’s strategic roadmap to secure victory in the war as it moves towards EU and NATO membership. Topics for discussion will include Ukraine’s achievements and challenges, such as maintaining democratic reforms and undertaking structural transformations essential for EU membership. Stefanishyna will also address Ukraine’s defense improvements and its contributions to European security through NATO cooperation, highlighting Southern Europe’s crucial role in supporting Ukraine’s victory and integration through partnerships in defense, reconstruction and economic resilience. The briefing will highlight the importance of Ukraine’s dual integration with the EU and NATO to Europe’s security architecture and provide updates on Ukraine’s current security situation, Russian escalation tactics and key elements of President Zelenskyy’s Victory Plan.

The briefing is conducted in cooperation with the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and the Office for the Promotion of Ukraine.
