Economic security and impacts on businesses: the new challenges of global competition

In a context marked by the crisis of globalization, US-China competition and growing geopolitical risks, economic security is the new paradigm of the European Union. The objective of the EU and member states is to monitor certain sectors and place constraints to protect strategic interests, from an industrial, technological, financial and scientific perspective.

These chosen on the one hand aim to protect the competitiveness of important supply chains, on the other they place companies before the need to comply with national and community regulations, such as golden power, foreign direct investments, strategic products, dual-use goods and technologies , anti-money laundering.

The conference organized by AWOS – A World of Sanctions will focus on some regulatory aspects of economic security and the impact on businesses in terms of organizational processes to be adopted to comply with the legislation.
