Double event at the Piazza Vittorio arena!

Wednesday 24 July double event at the Piazza Vittorio arena! Before the evening screening of The old oak by Ken Loach, a dance show will take place celebrating 140 years of bilateral relations between Italy and South Korea. An opportunity to explore the expressive language of two choreographers, ten dancers and two structures: l the Italian GDOUDA/Gruppo Danza Oggi and the Korean Mut Dance.

The project

Mobility’ is in the DNA of artists, a need for comparison and sharing with the distant, different ‘other’. The more difficult communication is, the greater the urgency to ‘understand each other’, understand each other, exchange ‘culture’, perspectives: draw the bridge of dialogue that becomes human and professional growth and internal wealth upon return

This is the meaning of Gruppo Danza Oggi’s foreign project which, returning from South Korea, after the invitation to the prestigious BIPAF Festival in Busan and the INTERACTION with the Coreana Mut Dance in Seoul, brings its GDO/UDA Company artists to Italy the Mut Dance Company, giving life to a ‘bilateral’ project, as are the relations between Italy and South Korea, which in 2024 will celebrate 140 years of bilateralism.

In Italy the Mut Dance Company was a guest of Gruppo Danza Oggi at the National Dance Production Center in Bari thanks to the partner Res Extensa/Porta D’Oriente and now arrives in Rome in the beautiful Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II in an exceptional collaboration with ANEC Lazio as part of the ‘Notti di Cinema’ event in Piazza Vittorio, together with the GDO/UDA Company which will bring its effervescent Italian creativity signed by Ilenja Rossi to the tune of Rossini and Danza Urban with the debut of Rossini vs Back.
