Diplomats as Writers

I would like to invite you to participate in Diplofoundation’s inaugural webinar in the online series “Diplomats as Writers”, scheduled for July 9th from 5 pm to 6.30 pm CEST.

The event will feature a lively debate between two distinguished diplomats from the Mediterranean region. Italian Ambassador Paolo Trichilo will present his recent book, “Diplomacy and Literature: The Eight Diplomats Who Won the Nobel Prize in Literature” (2023), while Egyptian Ambassador Mohamed Tawfik will discuss his creative works, including three novels published in Arabic.

The session will be moderated by the Amb. Amr Aljowaily, Strategic Advisor to the Vice President of the African Union Commission, and Amb. Stefano Baldi, Permanent Representative of Italy to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, both editors of the “Diplomats as Writers” website.
