Dialogues des Carmélites

Waiting for the premiere of Dialogues des Carmélites, the flagship title of the new 2022-2023 season of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, on stage from November 27 to December 6.

The masterpiece by French composer Francis Poulenc will be brought to the stage by Emma Dante, who directed it, accompanied on the podium by Michele Mariotti, who will make his debut as Music Director. Bringing the Carmelites back on stage this year at the Costanzi will be the soprano Corinne Winters, in the role of Blanche de la Force, and Anna Caterina Antonacci, who will interpret Madame de Croissy. Ewa Vesin will be Madame Lidoine, Ekaterina Gubanova Mère Marie de l’Incarnation, Jean-François Lapointe the Marquis de la Force and Bogdan Volkov the Chevalier de la Force. The cast is completed by Emöke Baráth (Soeur Constance de Saint-Denis), Krystian Adam (L’Aumônier du Carmel), Alessio Verna (Le Geôlier and II Commissaire), William Morgan (I Commissaire), Roberto Accurso (Officier).
