Dance Festival
A seven-day city festival. A constellation of free outdoor events to experience and share to discover together the experience, emotions and imagery of contemporary dance. From 10 to 16 June CORPO LIBERO – THE DANCE FESTIVAL OF ROME returns, an event promoted by the Department of Culture of Rome Capital which opens the summer of 2024 with a second edition even richer in events, spaces, artists from from every part of Italy, Europe and the world.
In the wake of last year’s success, the 2024 edition will focus on a widespread and inclusive celebration formula, capable of welcoming audiences of all ages and types, in all 15 city municipalities and in the 29 public spaces involved.
Squares, parks, museums, courtyards, gardens and bridges, the programming will touch every corner of the city, bringing together iconic places in the center such as Piazza Navona, Lungotevere Vaticano (adjacent to Castel Sant’Angelo), the Giardino degli Aranci, Piazza di Pietra, Piazza Vittorio and Piazza Testaccio (Town Hall I) with some more decentralized places: Piazza dei Re di Roma (Town Hall VII), Piazza San Giovanni de la Salle (Town Hall XIII), Ponte della Musica (Town Hall II), Piazza Nostra Signora di Guadalupe ( Town Hall XIV), Largo Ludovico Quaroni (Town Hall XII), Piazza Sempione (Town Hall III) and the Ostia pier (Town Hall X).
You will arrive in spaces surrounded by greenery such as Parco Tevere Marconi (Municipality and in those surrounded by art such as the Museum of Rome, the Sala Santa Rita, the Ara Pacis Museum, Palazzo Altemps, the Baths of Diocletian, the Celio Archaeological Park; (Town Hall I) and the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions (Town Hall IX).
To end with places of aggregation such as the Collina della Pace Library (Municipality VI), the Galline Bianche Library (Municipality).
