Art tells the music
The magic of art and music that come together to give life to a one-of-a-kind live experience: “The Shape of Sound”, the concert/performance created by the artist Maria Luisa D’Eboli who, as the historian of art Alessandra De Simone, after the Macro of Rome, Casa Cava of Matera and the Pinacoteca Provinciale of Potenza, arrives at the Tuscolano Scuderie Aldobrandini Museum as a new exceptional setting for this exclusive project which constitutes the extreme essence of avant-garde painting, aimed at experimenting with an extremely innovative synaesthetic and inclusive art. Eight large monochromatic canvases on display, plastic and dynamic at the same time, which “reproduce” with color the sound produced by different musical instruments that D’Eboli created by listening to the performances of eight internationally renowned musicians: Mathilde Lebert, Teodor Coman, Patrick Messina, Adriana Ferreira, Lorenza Borrani, Filippo Lattanzi, Ricardo Serrano, Floraleda Sacchi. This is the theme of the exhibition which comes to life in an exciting journey to be experienced and listened to, in which the painter perceives the vibration and conveys the energy within herself, managing to shape a copious quantity of acrylic, with which she translates the experience sound into visual experience. The initiative, sponsored by the Lazio Region, the Municipality of Frascati and Musa, will be inaugurated on 28 December 2024 at 5.30 pm and will then be exhibited until 5 January 2025.
The painted canvases, in turn, transformed into scores, are activated by the gaze of the spectator and endlessly return the melody which magically lights up and pervades the surrounding exhibition space. A musical embrace connects the painting to the archaeological remains of the imperial age suspended on transparent cases, creating a harmonious space-time fabric capable of combining past and present in a continuum that only the magic of art can create. Accompanying the painter in this event will be Gaia Vazzoler, musicologist and pianist who graduated from the D.A.M.S. with Prof. Mario Bortolotto and collaborator
for over ten years of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia, where he combines piano teaching with concert activity and musical dissemination, in synergy with the most important and prestigious cultural institutions of the Capitol. The opening of the exhibition will present the spectator with an evocative event where the painter will show herself during the creative act, that is, the moment in which, conveyed by art, her personal connection with the infinite vital flow that moves life occurs, with the generous intent of awakening in the spectator the awareness of being able to make his life a work of art.
