From 10 July to 1 October some places in the historic center of Rome – the Terrazza del Pincio, Piazza del Popolo, Largo San Carlo al Corso, Piazza di San Lorenzo in Lucina, Piazza Mignanelli and San Silvestro – will host 8 sculptures for the first time monumental by the Colombian artist universally recognized for his iconic voluminous figures; the works exhibited are “Seated Woman” from 1991 and 2000 in Piazza Mignanelli and Piazza San Silvestro; “Cat” in the Basilica of San Lorenzo in Lucina; “Reclining Woman” and “Sleeping Venus” at the Terrazza del Pincio; “Horse with bridle” in Largo San Carlo; “Adam” and “Eve” in Piazza del Popolo.
The widespread exhibition is Rome’s homage to the Colombian sculptor.
