The European Commission has opened the application period for the eighth edition of Youth4Regions, the initiative aimed at promoting the growth of journalism students and young journalists by offering them a first-hand experience of the EU for a week in Brussels, from 5 to 11 October 2024, during which the selected candidates will undergo training courses, work side by side with experienced journalists and visit EU institutions and organizations operating in the media sector.
To participate, you can send a short article (2500 – 6250 characters), a photo shoot (three images) or a short video (2 – 3 minutes) on a project co-financed by the European Union (with the exception of study abroad projects Erasmus+). The winners will also participate in the competition for the prestigious Megalizzi-Niedzielski prize, dedicated to recognizing the excellence of the work carried out by young journalists, which will be awarded on 9 October 2024. The deadline for submitting nominations ends on 8 July 2024. Expenses food, accommodation and travel will be covered by the European Commission.
