AMBIENTI 1956-2010. Environments by Women Artists II

The exhibition, which will take place at the MAXXI in Rome from April 10 to October 20 2024, aims to highlight the great contribution of women to the history of this artistic expression. Curated by Andrea Lissoni, Marina Pugliese and Francesco Stocchi, together with the Haus der Kunst Museum in Munich, the event will expand the first chapter of the Inside Other Spaces project. Environments of women artists 1956–1976.

The exhibition, which will take place in the museum’s first floor and outdoor spaces, will feature works by iconic female artists such as Judy Chicago, Lygia Clark, Laura Grisi and many others.

The exhibition is organized by MAXXI and the Haus der Kunst Monaco, the museum that conceived the original exhibition entitled Inside Other Spaces. Environments of Women Artists 1956- 1976 in 2023.
