Trump’s return has caused a shift in global climate policy, with the removal of environmental barriers and the distancing of American investors from climate coalitions. After the war in Ukraine, energy sovereignty and industrial competitiveness have become crucial priorities for Europe. The main challenge is to determine whether decarbonisation is an obstacle or a vector for competitiveness and growth. The E5T Foundation’s seminar aims to assess how these objectives can be reconciled in an uncertain geopolitical context.
