Anthropos & Kainos: The Environment We Live In.
On Tuesday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m., the Russian House in Rome will host the opening of the Contemporary Art Exhibition “Anthropos & Kainos: The Environment We Live In.” The exhibition will feature 40 artists from Russia, Italy and many other countries. Paintings, sculptures and video installations will be dedicated to the interaction between nature and man, a theme that is becoming particularly relevant in the run-up to Earth Day on April 22 and the spring equinox on March 20, when, according to scientists, the Planet’s biological rhythm changes as it approaches a new phase of development. The title of the exhibition is a reference to the Greek terms “Anthropos” – man and “Kainos” – new.
The exhibition will be presented by art historian and professor of art history at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, Francesco Gallo Mazzeo, exhibition curator Maria Rita Bassano with the participation of video maker Nicola de Simone.
