Win-Big Med Conference Day

The Federation of the Sea, as a partner of the European project WIN-BIG – Women in Blue Economy, organizes the Win-Big Med Conference Day in Rome on Wednesday 26 March 2025, at the Sala della Protomoteca in Campidoglio.

The WIN-BIG project (2023-2026), coordinated by Portugal and managed by 14 partners from 9 Member States, aims to map gender status and professional treatment differences in the six EU sea basins, in the following three emerging blue sectors: blue sports and sustainable tourism, blue bioeconomy, marine energy and robotics. Furthermore, it aims to develop tailor-made capacity building tools to promote more balanced gender representation and make Europe’s blue industry increasingly sustainable.

The Sea Federation was entrusted with the organization of the aforementioned Conference for the Mediterranean, characterized by a rich program of round tables and interactive dialogues by European and national public and private stakeholders, to explore the challenges and highlight strategies to promote inclusiveness and sustainability in the blue economy.

The event will also be an opportunity to network informally, fostering connections with mentors and stakeholders and will offer an engaging opportunity to exchange ideas and explore the latest developments of the Blue Economy in the project sectors.
