Friday 15 and Saturday 16 November two new concerts organised by The Arts Crossroad association. The first evening will feature the Guitalian Guitar Quartet formed by Claudio Marcotulli, Stefano Palamidessi, Adriano Walter Rullo and Guido Fichtner. This rare four-guitar ensemble will present their latest recording project, entitled Latin Landscape, where the rhythms and sounds of South America are explored in a new and creative way through the unusual musical union of four guitars. Latin Landscape is an engaging and enjoyable musical journey in which the charge of Brazilian music, the overwhelming passion of the Argentine tango and all the feeling of Mexican music can be found.
The following evening the Americas Trio formed by Giovanna D’Amato on cello, Gian Vito Pulzone and Oscar Bellomo on guitars will play instead. Rebellious passions is the title given to their concert. Their musical programme mixes styles and musical cultures from South and North America, including Astor Piazzolla, Pat Metheny, Egberto Gismonti and many other well-known artists who are a reference point for those who love sophisticated and passionate music and melodies. Listening to Americas Trio provides an experience in music in which the audience is pleasantly enveloped by the harmony that the trio generates while playing. Both concerts will be held at St. Andrew’s Scottish Church, located in the central Via XX Settembre and easily accessible on foot and by public transport. These two concerts are organised by The Arts Crossroad, a social promotion association set up to spread the passion for music and give life to projects in which art, music and culture can come together and thus involve people.
The president of the association, Chieko Hata, emphasises with satisfaction that: ‘despite the difficulties there are in organising concerts and promoting music initiatives, I was very happy with the three opening concerts that featured Luisa Sello & Bruno Canino, Duo Maclé and La Rimembranza. They were brilliant concerts, with internationally renowned musicians, and it was a great satisfaction to have Bruno Canino, a true legend of chamber music, play for this initiative. For the next two concerts in the same way, there are very well-prepared musicians, who love music, and the guitar will be a protagonist of excellence. Being a guitarist myself, I am very happy to have invited the Guitalian Quartet, who will present their new recording project in this concert. The Americas Trio concert will also be very special, their programme taking the listener on a musical journey between the two Americas. Two evenings of music not to be missed for music lovers.
