SANDRO VISCA – FRACTURAE
The artistic production of Maestro Sandro Visca (1944) arrives at the Carlo Bilotti Aranciera Museum of Villa Borghese from 12 October to 12 January 2025 with the exhibition FRACTURAE, promoted by Roma Capitale, Department of Culture, Capitoline Superintendence of Cultural Heritage and organized by the Pescarabruzzo Foundation and CLAP Museum. Museum services of Zètema Progetto Cultura.
The exhibition, curated by Generoso Bruno, is a unique opportunity to explore the production of the Abruzzo artist with particular attention to his continuous dialogue between the material and its putting into form.
The works on display are part of the research that Visca has been carrying out for decades. Through the Teatrini and Silhouette series, the artist, investigating the expressive power of matter, explores the relationship between the fragment and the object. His poetics manifests itself in the desire to preserve the life that emanates from the most disparate elements of matter, whose fragments are elevated to a symbol of a precarious and elusive human condition.
