Horses in Rome
“Horses in Rome” is back on stage at the Circus Maximus, the equestrian show will be on stage on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 August and will light up the Roman nights of the Longines Global Champions Tour in Rome.
As part of the prestigious international show jumping circuit scheduled from 30 August to 1 September, the Circus Maximus will be the scene of a new edition of the now traditional evening event at the Palatine which this year will be entitled “Free in the hearts of men”, show curated by Sabina Domanico, Serena Veri and Alessandro Volpi directed by Umberto Scotti. The equestrian representation aims to be a homage to freedom in all its forms, told through the elegance and power of horses combined with the art of equestrian theatre.
Over 80 horses on stage, eight living paintings, each with a reference to the concept of freedom in its different meanings. “True freedom is that of the spirit – explains Umberto Scotti – Even though they are restricted by the rules of coexistence, horses continue to gallop free and lightly in the hearts of all men”. The music of Marzia Garrani and the images of Alberto Natale will accompany the evolutions of the horses and their riders among lights and colors.
