Regeneration. Environmental justice and energy in the Europe of the future

Climate change presents the European Union and national governments with new challenges. From decarbonisation to the implementation of a sustainable model based on renewable energy, through the strengthening of the environmental policies of the Green Deal, up to the creation of an industrial and employment plan focused on green technologies, Livio de Santoli guides us in the transition towards an energy system fair and “regenerative”. This new paradigm aspires to combine environmental justice and social justice, considering energy as a common good available to all. Addressing the climate crisis requires a renewed progressive environmentalism capable of countering both denialism and the religion of capitalism: de Santoli paints its essential features, expertly blending European legislation with suggestions from rock music.
