SUMMARY:ArtScience Festival ‘Planet Immaterial
DESCRIPTION:\nPianeta Immateriale (Immaterial Planet) is the title of the new edition of the ArteScienza Festival scheduled from 1 July to 25 September, this year located in Rome between Goethe-Institut Rom, the historical venue for ArteScienza events, MUSA – Museo degli strumenti musicali dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Teatro Spazio Rossellini and several Italian cities. Thanks to collaborations with other festivals and institutions, in fact, ArteScienza will also be in Piacenza, Trieste and Latina for a series of extra events.\n\n\n\nInspiring this year’s edition, organised as always by the Centro Ricerche Musicali, is the thought of Jean-Jacques Wunenburger (1946), a French philosopher who studied the role of the imaginary, symbols and myths in their relationship with contemporary philosophical, scientific, political and cultural rationality. ‘Technology, nature, and social conflicts are the emerging themes in this edition of ArteScienza,’ explains artistic director Michelangelo Lupone. The Festival focuses on works of music, dance and art installations that draw the boundaries or relationships between the imaginary and the concrete, between the virtual and the real, trying to induce the widest possible reflection around the topicality of ecological issues, of man’s relationship with nature and technology, of the macroscopic contradictions and drifts of consumer society’.\n\n\n\nThere are two composers of reference for this edition: Luciano Berio, whose centenary falls on the anniversary of his birth, and Giacinto Scelsi (1905-1988), for the 120th anniversary of his birth. Taking its cue from these two emblematic figures of the 20th century, the festival will be articulated in a varied programme of concerts, exhibitions, masterclasses, study meetings, dance, theatre, video art, installations and docufilms, looking towards the most innovative proposals, the most advanced technological research, applying the use of artificial intelligence and its contribution to art.\n\n\n\nIt will be possible to purchase tickets online:\n\n\n\nin the dedicated section of the ArteScienza website at the box office Goethe-Institut Rom, Auditorium Parco della Musica, Teatro Spazio Rossellini, starting from 1 hour before the beginning of the performances\n\n\n\nFor reservations, write to: biglietteria@crm-m ( http://biglietteria@crm-m )\n\n\n\n\n
