DESCRIPTION:\nKlára Sedlo’s solo exhibition, Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. Klára Sedlo’s solo exhibition will open at the Angelica Library Gallery, presenting for the first time in Rome the project inspired by the Voynich manuscript.\n\n\n\nCalled “the most mysterious book in the world,” the Voynich manuscript is an illustrated codex dating back to the 15th century, written with a still undeciphered writing system and accompanied by images of plants that are not matched by plant elements traceable in nature. Starting precisely from such illustrations, Klára Sedlo becomes the creator of an extraordinary series of paintings in which, with scientific precision and rigor in the use of technique, the artist reproduces flowers, leaves, small shrubs and still lifes, reinterpreted in a modern key and in the light of that ascendancy that the oneiric exerts in her production.\n\n\n\n\nCreated with GIMP\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
