DESCRIPTION:\nThe official presentation of the book “Io sono Elettra” will take place on Wednesday 18 December at 5.30 pm in the Refectory Hall of Palazzo Venezia. The untold love story between Guglielmo Marconi and his ship”, written by Marco Panella and published by Rai Libri. The event will see the participation of Lucia Borgonzoni, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Culture, Federico Mollicone, President of the Culture Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, Roberto Genovesi, Director of Rai Libri and Guglielmo Giovannelli Marconi, nephew of the inventor of the radio.\n\n\n\nDuring the event, the actress Gloria Carovana will propose readings of some extracts from the book.\n\n\n\n“I am Elettra” is a novel that drags the reader on a unique journey, alongside Guglielmo Marconi, undisputed genius of science and father of radio communications, and his beloved ship Elettra, heart and soul of his most revolutionary discoveries. Through the pages of the book, Marco Panella gives life to a story in which the sea becomes voice and memory, in which history becomes legend and eternal love.\n\n\n\nWith a compelling style, the author narrates not only Marconi’s life and inventions, but also the fatal encounter with the ship Elettra, silent witness of his exploits and his companion in his most intimate and happiest moments.
