SUMMARY:KUNST/ESSEN
DESCRIPTION:\nPaul Renner is internationally known for how he combines art and cuisine. “KUNST/ESSEN” (45 min., Austria, 2005) directed by Alex Hesse, illustrates the work of the Austrian artist starting from The Hell Fire Dining Club, held in 2004 at the Kunsthalle Wien. Paul Renner himself will comment on the documentary in Italian (in German).\n\n\n\nThe film shows Paul Renner in two worlds: his “bourgeois” life in his family, in a 1920s hunting lodge in the Bregenz forest, and his work which he expresses in visionary creations and artistic actions capable of pushing art to the own borders. The seemingly tranquil images of the Bregenz Forest are juxtaposed with the sometimes shocking actions of „The Hellfire Dining Club“, a 17 days and 17 nights performance, which took place in 2004 at the Karlsplatz/Kunsthalle Project Space. A magma of art, food, alcohol and mystical technology imbued with baroque energy set up by Paul Renner, which attracted the participation of chefs of the caliber of Joachim Gradwohl, Josef Floh and Adi Bittermann and diners such as Christian Ludwig Attersee and Hermann Nitsch.\n\n\n\nThe result is a profound reading of the vision and work of an unusual and sometimes extreme artist.\n\n\n\nFree entry by reservation while places last: booking.forumaustriaco@gmail.com ( mailto:booking.forumaustriaco@gmail.com )Entry allowed: from 5.30 pm to 6.00 pm\n\n\n\nNovember 15, 2024 | Friday | 6.00 pm | Atelier MontezInauguration of the photographic exhibition “The Cockaigne Tree” by Paul Renner, followed by a special culinary performance, in collaboration with the chefs Elena Ambrosch and Manuel Opitz Hofstätter, who will propose a menu inspired by the story of “Judith and Holofernes”, with the symbolic use of the various parts of a bull’s head in the menu.\n\n\n\nInfo: CHIAROSCURO – Atelier Montez ( https://montez.it/sinestetica/chiaroscuro_paul_renner/ )\n\n\n\n\n
